Meet Our People

Our current leaders have been volunteering in their communities for many years, and they bring with them an incredible ability to lead, inspire and care for those that need it.

With over 50 years of volunteer experience among them, our leaders provide First Christian Church Of Herrick with the inspiration and direction to keep the organization moving forward and expanding in new areas based on our community's needs.

Paul Dickerson

Pastor

Bio: Paul is the current Pastor of First Christian Church of Herrick.  After serving 22 years in the United States Air Force he was at a cross roads in his life and trying to figure out what life after the USAF would hold for him.  So he prayed for some guidence in his life.  He learned quickly that leaving a pray that wide open gave God a lot of room to work with.  After the third and most obvious response to as many prayers he finally accepted God's calling for him.  He is working towards his bachlors in theology and biblical counseling through Liberty University.

He is married to a wonderful woman that has been helping out in the worship department and playing the keyboard.  They have three boys, two of which live in Tucson, AZ right now and the youngest at 20 is currently still at home with them.  Paul is also a member of the local volunteer Fire Department and First Responders as their Chaplian. Along with that he has also taken on the position as Chaplian of MABAS 64 which serves the entier Shelby County area.

Matthew 6:19-21 (NIV)

19 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.  20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  21 For where your treasure in, there your heart will be also.
